# Clearing and settlement Holiday On May 5th, 2023

On May 5th, 2023, Which is [#BuddhaPurnima](https://www.linkedin.com/feed/hashtag/?keywords=buddhapurnima&highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7059851538487259137), trading will be possible, but clearing and settlement will be closed for the Payin and Payout of stocks and funds, Because of settlement holiday.

As a result, the stocks purchased on May 4th, 2023, will not be available for selling on May 5th, 2023. Moreover, there will be no payout, and the equity trades placed on May 4th, 2023, will get settled on May 8th, 2023. Additionally, the currency trading segment will also be closed, and credits of all the segments traded on May 4th, 2023, will not be available for trade on May 5th, 2023.
