Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian benchmark equity indices opened flat on Friday, as investors awaited the monetary policy decision by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) hoping for some form of policy easing following a significant slowdown in economic growth.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The BSE Sensex was trading 27 points, or 0.03%, lower at 81,739, while the Nifty50 dropped 18 points, or 0.07%, to 24,690 at around 9:19 am.
Among the Sensex stocks, TCS, L&T, Tata Motors, Infosys, and HDFC Bank opened lower, while ITC, ICICI Bank, Power Grid, M&M, and Sun Pharma saw gains.
Ahead of the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) rate decision, interest-sensitive sectors had a mixed opening. The Nifty Financial Services and Nifty Bank remained flat, while the Nifty Auto gained 0.5% and the Nifty Realty index declined by 0.4%.
